Project: Unsung Heroes

Oh yes, we're after your Grandma's and Grandpa's stories.

Thank you for visiting our site. We at Historihelpers inc.  are passionate about involving our youth in the collection, researching and preservation of  those things from our past that have contributed to the building of their communities and ergo their lives. This also includes contributions made by those sometimes unsung heroes in our communities. Realizing this, we have begun to seek out citizens of various communities who have served their communities for very  many years in one way form or the other, and in so doing have become the building blocks of community life as we now know it. We are in pursuit of the elderly, those unsung heroes who possess a storehouse of experience and knowledge that would otherwise be lost. Our young explorers will be gathering information from people 80 years and older. Right now we have three candidates. One 83 and the others 92 and 100 years old respectively. We are hoping to acquire the necessary funding to  hire young people to interview them, research their stories and collate the information which will then be digitized and published for all to enjoy.
